We are so excited to jump right into this week! There are a few reasons for that... first & foremost, we've got another round of Book-a-Day giveaways for you!  Secondly, it's because we've partnered up with author Carolyn Scott-Hamilton to bring you copies of her wonderful book, The Healthy Voyager’s Global Kitchen, along with some truly fantastic globally inspired recipes that she’ll be sharing. She's also our guest blogger all this week, bringing you many helpful tips and ideas for living healthily, cheaply and adventurously on a plant-based diet, whether you’re cooking at home or traveling around the world.

Before we get to all that, there are lots of recent winners to announce!

As mentioned above, our book giveaways this week are coming to you from author Carolyn Scott-Hamilton. Carolyn is an avid traveler but she found it quite difficult to find vegan friendly restaurants abroad.  She tired of having to pack her own foods or eat bread, fries and junky foods when she was away.  After realizing she could find and/or manipulate any menu to create a meal that satisfied her as well as her dining partners, she created the Healthy Voyager to show people that dietary restrictions should not ruin you or your travel mates’ trip, be it business or pleasure.  As of 2006, she and her husband, of opposing gastronomic tastes, have traveled and dined healthily and harmoniously while documenting it all on film for the Healthy Voyager Web Series.

About the book:
Explore a world of cuisines from the comfort of your own kitchen! mediterranean food is my favorite!

I love Mexican!

I love making new things!

Liking EB and The Healthy Voyager on FB.

As much as I love Indian food, my all time favorite is American southern cooking, also sometimes known as soul food. I love braised collard greens with corn bread or in a casserole; sweet potatoes baked, boiled, as fries, in a pie, biscuit or cake; corn fresh from the cob or as corn bread, muffins, cakes or chips, raw in a salad, in a soup or chowder; black eyed peas with onions and garlic, or in black eyed pea cakes; biscuits smoothered in Earth Balance, jam or gravy; peaches fresh off the tree, baked, in a cobbler or pie; blueberries and strawberries any and every way; watermelon eaten fresh or frozen, or in a smoothie or mixed drink... I could go on and on, yet I think you get my mouth-watering meaning.

Mediterranean would be my first choice because I just love hummus and felafel, but Indian is a close second!

I just love Made Just Right and Earth Balance. Even though I consider myself the "next door gourmet cook" and I got so many new recipes from the website!!.. I recommend Earth Balance to everyone that had no idea that there is actually a vegan butter and other vegan products!!... The chocolate milk? Delicious! thanks to this website I was also introduced to the recipes on the "Vegan Yum Yum" book and I love it so much I ask for it for Christmas and got it form my mother in-law, the recipe I love is the "Sweat and Sour Tofu" outstanding!...looking forward to win this book and see what else I learn!!..thank you Made Just Right people!!

Well, I can't understand why Earth Balance will promote a book that is not a vegan book...I just went into her website and she really promotes meat comsuption on her "Beyond diet" program...what a dissapointment!!

Beatriz, Earth Balance is not just for vegans, it's for anyone who appreciates dairy/egg/gluten free and natural non-GMO products. We have people here from all walks of life who enjoy the products and who like to read this website. We offer something for everyone, and since the author was generous enough to offer her book to our readers, many of whom are not vegan but who are interested in allergy-free foods, the option is there to win it for those who are interested. If it's not for you, we have many other vegan books up for grabs on a regular basis.

Also, we think their may be some confusion, as we are not offering any books that are about the Beyond Diet program. All the book contests this week so far have been 100% vegan, and we will be offering a book later this week that caters to allergy sufferers which contains a few non-vegan recipes... but that hasn't even been posted yet.
