NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE CONTEST. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW OR REGULATIONS.

  1. 1. ELIGIBILITY: The Earth Balance Spring To Life Recipe Contest (the "Contest") is open to all legal U.S. residents who are at least eighteen (18) years of age as of April 9, 2012, except employees of GFA Brands Inc. ("Sponsor"), EQAL, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the "Promotion Parties"), persons living in the same households, and the families (spouse, parents, children and siblings) or household members of each. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

  2. 2. TO ENTER: The Contest will begin at 12:01am Eastern Time (“ET”) on April 9, 2012 and end at 11:59pm ET on May 6, 2012 ("Promotion Period"). During the Promotion Period, there will be four (4) separate weekly entry periods (each a "Weekly Entry Period") beginning at 12:01 am ET each Monday and ending at 11:59 pm ET on the following Sunday. To enter the Contest, log in or register at www.madejustright.com and look for the "Submit Your Recipe" button and (i) provide your name; valid email address; postal mailing address; phone number; and age; (ii) upload an original recipe that uses any variety of Earth Balance® product as an ingredient (and otherwise complies with the recipe requirements set forth in Paragraph 3 below), and (iii) upload a digital photograph of your prepared recipe a) through the recipe submission process or b) to your profile page. The quality of the photograph will not have any bearing on your chance to win a prize; however, your photograph may be included in a gallery on the Made Just Right™ website or in other media in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. There is no limit to the number of times you can enter during any Weekly Entry Period; however each entry submitted during the Promotion Period must meet all entry requirements and each recipe must be unique. Entries that are lost, late incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted.
  3. RECIPE REQUIREMENTS: All recipe entries must (i) be original (defined as the creation of one's own mind and is not a copy or imitation); (ii) contain at least one (1) Earth Balance® product (for complete list of eligible products go to http://www.madejustright.com/products); (iii) use ingredients that are readily available in most well-stocked supermarkets; (iv) include specific instructions including exact measurements for each ingredient and step-by-step directions for recipe preparation; (v) be plant-based, meaning they must be vegetarian (or vegan) and highlight one or more ingredients of whole grains, fruit, vegetables, nuts, legumes or plant-sourced food. Recipes must not: (a) feature or refer to any brand-name products other than Earth Balance or require a specific brand of any third-party product or ingredient; (b) contain any copyrighted works (other than as owned by the entrant); or (c) defame or libel Sponsor or any third party. Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules or that otherwise contain prohibited or inappropriate content, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be disqualified and will not be considered for prizes. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to edit or remove any references to third party’s trademarks (other than those belonging to Earth Balance). Sponsor makes the final determination as to which entries are eligible to take part in this Contest and Sponsor’s decisions shall be binding. Recipes must be submitted according to the weekly category outlined for each Weekly Entry Period in the chart below:

  4. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winners will be selected by a qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsor. Judging will occur on a weekly basis from all entries received during the prior Weekly Entry Period. Non-winning entries from each Weekly Entry Period will not be included in the judging for subsequent weeks. The judges will score every eligible entry by each of the following criteria: Appeal (50%); Ease of preparation (25%), and Creativity (25%). The two (2) entries from each Weekly Entry Period with the highest aggregate score will be declared winners, subject to verification. In the event of a tie aggregate score, the tied entry with the highest score for the category of "Appeal" will be declared the winner. A total of eight (8) winners will be selected and announced after the conclusion of the entire contest.
  5. PRIZE DESCRIPTION & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: Each of the eight (8) winners will receive a year's supply of Earth Balance® products to be awarded in the form of twelve (12) certificates good for any one (1) Earth Balance® product at participating stores (certificates must be used in compliance with their stated terms and conditions), an Earth Balance gift pack including an Earth Balance sweatshirt, and a copy of the book 'Skinny Bitch Book of Vegan Swaps' by Kim Barnouin (collectively, the "Prize"). Total approximate retail value (ARV) of each Prize is $120. ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER, SELECTED FROM THE EIGHT (8) WINNERS, will receive as the Grand Prize (alternately referred to as the "Grand Prize" or the "Trip") a San Francisco getaway for two (2) consisting of roundtrip coach airfare for two (2) from the major international airport in the contiguous 48 states nearest to the Grand Prize Winner’s residence to San Francisco(not to exceed $1,500 for the total of two (2) tickets); two (2) nights hotel accommodations (one (1) standard room; double occupancy) at The Orchard Garden Hotel (not to exceed $450 per night), dinner for two (2) at MIllenium (not to exceed $240), and a $1000 cash prize to presented to the winner in the form of a check. The aggregate ARV of the Grand Prize is $2,900 and the total aggregate ARV of the Grand Prize and the eight (8) Prizes is $3,860). THE TRIP IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The Trip departure date must be between July 1, 2012 and December 1, 2012 (the "Eligible Period"). If the Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest are unable to travel during the Eligible Period, the Trip will be forfeited in its entirety without any further responsibility owing from Sponsor to Grand Prize Winner, and time allowing, an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner may be selected. If the actual retail value of the Trip is less than the stated ARV, the Grand Prize Winner will not receive the difference. All expenses not specifically stated as being included in the Trip, such as meals, beverages, mini-bar, entertainment, telephones, souvenirs, gratuities, ground transportation, insurance, personal services, entertainment, etc., are solely the Grand Prize Winner’s responsibility. All stated accommodations and reservations will be as arranged by Sponsor and are subject to advance notice, holiday black-out dates and availability. The Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest must possess required travel documents and must travel together on same itinerary. The Grand Prize Winner's guest may not be a minor in his/her state of residence unless the Grand Prize Winner is his/her parent/legal guardian/spouse. Other Trip restrictions may apply. Sponsor has no responsibility for lost, stolen, misplaced or mutilated tickets and/or travel documents, baggage, flight delays, or any other occurrences beyond its control. Sponsor has no responsibility for the Grand Prize Winner's inability or failure to accept or utilize the Trip as described herein or for his/her guest’s inability to utilize the Trip. The potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Compliance and Publicity/Liability Release ("Release"), where allowed by law, and such other documents as may be reasonably requested by Sponsor. The Grand Prize Winner’s guest must also sign and return a notarized Release, where allowed by law; and, if the guest is a minor in his/her state of residence, the Grand Prize Winner, as parent/legal guardian must sign and return a notarized Release, on behalf of the minor guest, by the stated date. Failure to sign and return these documents by the return date specified in the prize notification will result in forfeiture of the entire Grand Prize, and, time allowing, the selection of an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner by Sponsor. No substitutions or transfers of prizes permitted by winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. Limit one Prize per person. Each winner will be solely responsible for all taxes, if any, and any expenses not specified related to acceptance and use of his/her Prize or Grand Prize. Winners' names, cities and recipes (and photographs if applicable) may be featured on a website or other advertising related to the contest in Sponsor's sole discretion. There is no cash value attributed to being featured on a website or in any advertising or marketing material. In the event the winners and/or their recipes or photos are featured on a website or in any publication or advertising, no additional compensation beyond the prize described above will be awarded.
  6. SPONSOR'S RIGHTS IN SUBMITTED MATERIALS: By submitting recipes, pictures or other materials ("Submitted Materials"), you grant Sponsor and its agents the irrevocable and perpetual nonexclusive right to use your name and address and to display, print, publish, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, promote and provide access to any such Submitted Materials, in any media throughout the world, and without additional consideration. All Submitted Materials must be your original work; may not have been published previously; must not infringe third-party rights; and must be suitable for publication (e.g., may not be obscene or indecent). By submitting any material, you warrant and represent that you have permission from all persons identified or depicted in all Submitted Material, including without limitation from any person who took the photos. Sponsor may modify or edit Submitted Materials in its sole discretion. By entering the Contest, you consent to the use by the Promotion Parties of your name, likenesses, Submitted Materials (including photographs if applicable), and biographical information for marketing purposes without further compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited by law.
  7. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By participating, you release Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, employees, directors, and agents, including advertising agencies ("Released Entities"), from any and against any and all injury, loss or damage caused or claimed to be caused by your participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance, awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of the prize, and you agree that Released Entities are not responsible for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the Contest and/or the awarding of any Prize, except as expressly set forth in these Official Rules. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that the preceding release is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or void for any reason, Contest entrant agrees that, by entering the Contest, (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney's fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses. By uploading Submitted Materials you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Released Entities against any and all third party claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and expenses, arising out of or related to any breach by you of any provision of these Official Rules, including, without limitation, your representations and warranties made herein.
  8. OTHER RULES: Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws apply. Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, or illegible entries; (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you (a) agree to be bound by these official rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (b) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any contest it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules; and (ii) suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER OR VANDALIZE THE CONTEST WEBSITE OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  9. DATA COLLECTION/PRIVACY: Sponsor and the Promotion Parties collect personal information from you when you enter the Contest. Entering the Contest constitutes your permission to Sponsor to collect and maintain the data. The information collected is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at www.madejustright.com/privacy.html.
  10. WINNERS' LIST: For the names of the winners (available after May 31, 2012) send a #10 self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Earth Balance Spring to Life Contest Winners' List, 5250 Lankershim Blvd, Suite 720, North Hollywood, CA 91601. Requests for Winners' List must be received by December 1, 2012.
